Greg began his career with Travelers in 1987 as a National Accounts Casualty Underwriter with a heavy emphasis on casualty driven risks.

In 1994 Greg moved to the brokerage business with Willis where he earned the exclusive distinction of being a ten-year member of Willis’ Exceptional Producer’s Counsel.  From 1997 to 2007 Greg led a team and grew it from less than $1MM in revenues to over $7MM by the time he left Willis in 2008. In January of 2008, Greg was presented with an opportunity to open the Phoenix office of Allied North America, a national privately held  broker. Greg served as President of the Phoenix and Las Vegas offices until the firm was acquired by Aon. Greg sits on the advisory board for the National Association of Heavy Equipment Training Schools (NAHETS). Greg has a BA in Economics and Business Administration from Graceland University and holds a CRIS  designation.

He began his career with Home Life (now Cigna) in Kansas City as Regional Sales Representative working with brokers in Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, and Oklahoma. During his tenure in Kansas City he broke 3 company national sales records and was given the opportunity to help Cigna expand their self-funded product portfolio in the Phoenix market. After opening the Western Region for a national Third Party Administrator in 2000 he made the transition to broker in 2003.

Todd began his brokerage career with Brown & Brown and was a Top Gun Finalist in 2006. He led Brown & Brown nationally in employee benefits new business in 2006 and managed one of the largest books in the country before leaving the company to open the AZ office for Lockton. Todd has developed a niche in the self-funded marketplace and has been the broker for four Fortune 500 companies. He was named the Wellness Advocate of The Year in 2007 by the Wellness Council of Arizona and continues to support an integrated approach of combining wellness programs with a self-funded plan for many of his clients.Todd has been active in the community by serving on the Board of Directors for Waste Not  and UMB Bank in Arizona.  He is a member of Downtown Rotary Club 13 and serves on the UMKC Alumni Association Board of Governors. Todd is originally from Sedalia, Missouri and graduated from the University of Missouri-KC in 1988.

In 1999, this operation was acquired by a publicly traded insurance broker. In 2004, Paul had the opportunity to join the local Phoenix office of Willis in its highly regarded construction practice that was led by Greg Prentice.

 Paul quickly established himself at Willis as a top producer being nominated each year to the Exceptional Producer Council. In January of 2008, Paul was presented with an opportunity to open, and have an ownership stake in the Phoenix and Las Vegas office of Allied North America, a national privately held construction broker out of New York. Along with his business partner, Greg Prentice, they quickly built the business to well over $1MM in revenue until the firm was acquired by Aon in 2009. Paul’s area of expertise include:

  • Coverage design skill. An expert in analyzing a client’s existing coverage to uncover potential gaps and unnecessary risk, Paul creates solutions tailored to meet each client’s specific situation.

He has significant expertise in the areas of Workers’ Compensation, General Liability, Completed Operations, Automobile and Products Liability.

His background includes extensive construction risk management experience on complex site work, aviation, water treatment, road/highway construction, and vertical construction projects. His vast claims management experience on the insurance carrier side and as a Risk Manager enables Steve to be a strong influencer of carriers and Third Party Claim Administrators to manage claims to best possible outcomes. Steve has provided risk management leadership on OCIP, CCIP and Design Build projects and he has also hired, developed and mentored dozens of Safety and Risk Management professionals. Steve holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Engineering, is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), has an Associate in Risk Management (ARM), and Registered Safety Manager (RSM). He has a strong working knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, EPA and DOT requirements and has educated all levels of employees on effective regulatory management. He has partnered with DOT law enforcement and is well versed in Compliance Safety Accountability (CSA) and implementation of highly effective Fleet Safety Management measures. Steve takes a proactive approach to risk management and specializes in the implementation of sustainable risk management performance systems and behavioral safety programs that produce superior results. He delivers customized education that enables organizations to realize their return on investment.

Chris Smith, AIC

Chris has 18 years’ experience working with and being dedicated to construction accounts as a claim handler and unit manager. She has assisted companies with transitional return to work programs to help reduce lost time days. She has been involved with pre-planning of medical facilities for upcoming jobs. Chris works very closely with Safety and Risk Managers. She has been out to various jobsites and completed an OSHA 10-hour course in Construction Safety & Health. Chris has attended numerous hearings and has been involved in mediations with legal counsel. Chris has handled claims for OCIP/CCIP projects as well as being instrumental in planning/implementation meetings. Chris was on an emergency response team handling property claims as a result of catastrophic weather events such as hurricanes, tornadoes and hail. She has been deployed across the country to assist with these events as a claim handler and unit manager. Chris has an Associate in Claims (AIC) designation from the Insurance Institute of America and obtained a Workers’ Compensation Claims Professional (WCCP) designation from the Insurance Education Association. Chris takes a proactive approach to claims management by being responsive, creative and focusing on optimal claim resolution outcomes. Cassie Anderson

As Director of Employee Benefits, Cassie provides clients with claims and plan performance analysis, along with strategic consulting.  Cassie oversees all aspects of client services and insures that all service objectives are met. Cassie has served as Secretary and Treasurer of the Greater Phoenix Association of Health Underwriters and has served and continues to serve on several insurance company broker advisory committees.
