On Jan. 4, 2021, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) published proposed regulatory guidance that would revise its current guidance on recording time while operating a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) as a yard move.

This guidance applies to all CMV drivers required to record their hours of service (HOS). The FMCSA is requesting public comments on the proposed guidance. Comments are due on Feb. 3, 2021.

More than 50,000 North American Standard Level I, II, III and V Inspections were conducted throughout Canada, Mexico and the United States during the most recent Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance’s (CVSA’s) annual International Roadcheck.

This inspection and enforcement initiative highlights the work of 13,000 commercial motor vehicle inspectors throughout North America and acknowledges the compliance of motor carriers and professional drivers through the issuance of a CVSA decal on eligible vehicles.

Wearing a cloth face mask or covering when you’re out in public is essential for preventing the spread of COVID-19, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

While many Americans are following CDC, state and local guidance for wearing cloth face masks when they’re out in public, some may be wondering whether the masks they wear are still as effective. In addition, many may be forgetting to wash their mask after each use.
